Abandoned carts

Tickets in someone's checkout are held for a few minutes. When the timer runs out, they pop back on sale.

Artists, venues, and sponsors hold blocks of seats. Unused holds are quietly released days or hours before the show.

Once the stage and lighting are set up, seats marked 'obstructed view' often turn out to be fine — and go on sale.
